Overview

Patrols Casino and Casino premises to maintain order, enforce regulations, and ensure observance of applicable laws.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the safety and security of employees, patrons, facilities and grounds.
  • Patrols lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confers with management interviews guests and employees, and interrogates persons to detect infringements and investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalisms, and accidents.
  • Insures that the facilities are safe and secure from fire, theft, burglary, assault, and other such causes that may threaten the safety and security of the business, property, employees and patrons.
  • Varied work schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Prevents admittance and consumption of alcoholic beverages on the premises of the casino.
  • Performs first aid when necessary.
  • Protects money room and administration offices.
  • Properly identifies all employees entering the casino.
  • Provides money escort and chip fills.
  • Warns or ejects troublemakers, and cautions careless persons.
  • Reports all accidents and conditions requiring correction.
  • Utilizes different computer software for all written reports.
  • Provides traffic control duty when necessary.
  • Implements evacuation plans and routes if necessary.
  • Maintains crowd control at entry points.
  • Observation and monitoring of customer and employee behavior.
  • Hours determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change.
  • Must learn, comprehend and comply with all company policies and procedures, Gaming Regulations and Regulation 31 requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Requirements: Minimum 21 years of age and valid California Driver License.

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Strong computer and report writing skills required. First Responder and CPR preferred. Security related experience is desired.

 

 

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

 

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and

decimals.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense, understand any instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Must have a Valid California Driver's license and must be able to be insurable by the company insurance carrier.  TipS certification as trained at Rolling Hills Casino.  Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, or hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to tobacco smoke. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet, hot and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
