Works closely with graphic designer or marketing manager on production of communications projects including signage, ads, posters, banners, web graphics, email graphics, floor display graphics or kiosk graphics. Working from agreed design brand, communicate marketing ideas by use of text and images.
Ensures that key, strategic messages are communicated effectively to target audiences through use of graphic design. Produces, or acts as liaison with firms that produce printed materials or electronic advertising.

Education and/or Experience
A bachelor’s degree in design or other related fields is preferred for the position. Minimum four years experience in graphic design, print production, visual arts or a related field accompanied by an extensive portfolio and experience that shows clear knowledge of design and production for both print and digital applications. A production artist must have a solid knowledge of printing and digital processes and should be experienced with the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. To a lesser extent, experience with digital content such as websites, social media, and email production is required, along with basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects and web-development software. A production artist should have strong design skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. These creative professionals should also be process-oriented self-starters. And they must stay up to date with new production techniques and trends through research and education.
Ability to speak and communicate highly effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
