Overview

Promote the sale and execution of events, entertainment and promotions for Rolling Hills Casino.  Responsible for acquiring new business and well as maintaining current customers for repeat business.

Responsibilities

  • Provides constant, attentive and friendly service to guests.
  • Represents the Rolling Hills Casino at community events.
  • Coordinate and attend off-site company sponsored tradeshow booths and events.
  • Provide internal and external communication materials for events, promotions and entertainment.
  • Assist with promotions, entertainment, and special events as needed directed.
  • Create and conduct sales presentations to customers.
  • Assist with public relations.
  • Able to maintain a hospitable and team atmosphere with fellow staff.
  • Sale of alcoholic beverages and food to guests, following TiPS guidelines as well as established Rolling Hills Casino policies and procedures.
  • Relay any complaints, problems or positive remarks to Food & Beverage Manager or Food & Beverage Director appropriate Casino Management.
  • Maintains assigned workstation and section.
  • Attend and pass a written test from the TipS program.
  • Follow established departmental policies and procedures.
  • Follow policies and procedures set forth by Rolling Hills Casino.
  • Attend all training meetings.
  • Follow established company and departmental standards for personal appearance and behavior.
  • Assist in other projects, as directed.
  • Flexible work schedule so on site for banqueted events.
  • Works with promoters / event coordinators to advance events and entertainment
  • Works with outside vendors to procure goods and services required for entertainment, events or promotions
  • On call 24/7

Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Professional demeanor and dress attire at all times.
  • Ability to use and operate many computer applications.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail

 

Supervisor Responsibilities

This job does not have supervisory responsibilities.

 

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University and six years marketing, sales or banquet experience.

 

 

 

 

Language Skills

Exceptional writing and editing skills. Ability to speak and communicate highly effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance.

 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s License. Serve- Safe food handling certification. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino as well as certified in the TiPs program.

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to fingers, handle, feel, talk and/or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
