  • Overview

    The Food & Beverage Attendant provides outstanding customer service! Service with a smile! Always represent Sevillano Links as a professional at work and in the community.


    • Works closely with department heads to stay abreast of daily play, tournaments, and special events. Set up beverage cart according to the daily needs.
    • Responsible and accountable for daily reconciliation of monies to be deposited and keep tight controls of inventory and shrinkage.
    • Provide food and beverage in the clubhouse.
    • May be responsible for training new employees to ensure they work in a professional manner and are knowledgeable about their duties in the food and beverage department.
    • Responsible for assuring that beverage carts and storage areas are clean and up to California Food and Beverage codes. Comply with California state liquor laws, (ABC).
    • Communicate with management any adjustments in ordering or suggestions of products that may be needed to better perform and meet the goals of Sevillano Links.
    • Follow policies and procedures.
    • This description of duties is not exhaustive and is not limited to additional duties that may arise and may be revised or modified at any time to meet the needs of Sevillano Links and our guests.
    • Use POS (Point of Sale) system, count money, make change, stock the starter shack and count inventory for starter shack.
    • Provide beverage and snack service at the starter shack.
    • Assist and suggest items or products to carry on the beverage carts keeping in mind the highest quality products while creating the highest profitability. Will fill out orders for food, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages and all condiments necessary to properly stock the beverage carts and provide enough products to sustain daily play.
    • The integral role of the beverage cart person is to try to reach as many golfers on the course as possible and sell as much product off the cart as possible. By driving in reverse order of the holes (i.e. 9, 8, 7, 6) and stop at each group, smile and without disrupting their golf game, asking if they would like anything to eat or drink.

    Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Candidate must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must have outstanding customer service skills. Have a minimum of two years experience in food and beverage service or customer service. Must be able to add up a bill and count back change from any denomination bill and change without the use of a cash register or any other calculating device. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively. Must be able to work with all types of people. Possess the ability to multi task. Must be able to work shifts starting at 5:00 a.m. and work closing shifts ending as late as 9:30 p.m. Must be able to work on weekends and holidays. Knowledge about the game of golf is mandatory.


    Language Skills

    Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to interpret documents and reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.


    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems and situations reasonably.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Background clearance through the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid driver’s license.


    Physical Demands

Significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequently balancing; frequently stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. The employee is regularly required to use fingers, hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms. Will often carry heavy trays of food, dishes, and glassware. Are under pressure to serve customers quickly and efficiently. The work is relatively safe, but care must be taken to avoid slips, falls, and burns. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Employee must regularly lift up to 40 pounds and/or occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.


    Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a clean atmosphere, but is frequently exposed under temperature extremes, such as wet, hot, cold, warm, and/or humid outside weather conditions and/or indoor conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic and/or caustic chemicals. The work environment is fast-paced at times. Ability to work in a team environment and remain calm in stressful situations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
