  • Overview

    Plans, directs, and implements graphic design for marketing communications activities. Works from agreed design briefs; communicates marketing ideas by use of text and images. Ensures that key strategic messages are communicated effectively to target audiences through use of graphic design for posters, websites, direct mail, flyers and other collateral materials. Produces, or acts as liaison with firms that produce printed materials or electronic advertising.

    Responsibilities

    • Coordinates all design for direct marketing programs, as it relates to design and production management
    • Manages design proposals from typesetting through to design, print and/or electronic production
    • Works with internal casino departments, briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales
    • Develops concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites
    • Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and font style and size
    • Prepares rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
    • Reviews final layouts and suggest improvements if required
    • Communicates on regular basis to ensure deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality
    • Assists in development and implementation of direct marketing programs, increasing guest loyalty, trial, retention, and attracting high-end guests.
    • Ensures that key strategic messages are communicated effectively through design to target audiences.
    • Manages all aspects of design, including overview of copy writing, collateral content, web content and design, advertising, and design for customer and channel partner marketing.
    • Works closely with the organzation and turns content into sales/marketing tools.
    • Prepares and oversees design of internal and external communications for social media posts, blogs, and internal announcements.
    • Provides support to marketing team when implementing the new brand and when necessary work with the agency/contract services to provide and needed new files and formats.
    • Provide design support with any new branding
    • Ensures thorough consistent quality of design that the brand effort of the organization are met
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Education and/or Experience

    Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or five years’ experience directly related to marketing management, such as in an ad agency, public relations firm, or corporate marketing department, including project management and supervision of personnel; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Creativity, excellent writing and editing skills, and expertise in advertising required.

     

    Language Skills

    Ability to speak and communicate highly effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.  Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance

     

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

     

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission. Valid California Driver’s Licenses.
