    The Assistant Cage Manager assists the Cage Manager in managing and overseeing all aspects of the administration and daily operations of the Cage department. Supervises and coordinates activities of personnel involved in performing internal operations in the casino cage by performing the following duties personally and through subordinate supervisors.


    • Maintains security and accountability of casino funds.
    • Assists the Cage Manager in establishing forms of communication that are effective and will reach all levels of the organization.
    • Assists the Cage Manager in developing and reviewing analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine departmental progress toward stated goals and objectives.
    • Researches, compiles and prepares data for reports; assists with special projects
    • Directs employee training to improve efficiency and ensure conformance with standard procedures and practices. Develop team by training, evaluating performance, and promoting career development with the goal of cultivating qualified, efficient staff to achieve departmental objectives.
    • Conducts staff meetings of operations personnel; confers with subordinate personnel to discuss operations problems; dissemination of information concerning policy or procedural changes.
    • Builds and promotes Player Club membership.
    • Develops and maintains information on current promotions or special events to facilitate the dissemination of information to casino patrons and employees.
    • Issues appropriate promotional free slot play, log transactions to the Promotional adjustment log sheet and submit to Revenue Audit at the end of each shift.
    • Participates in formulating and administering departmental policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
    • Ensures the highest possible standards of guest satisfaction and employee relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner in an environment conducive to that goal.
    • Resolves customer complaints/disputes.
    • Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change. Available to work any shift and changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels

    Directly supervises all Cage Shift Supervisors. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.



     To perform this job successfully, an individual must be at least 21 years of age and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation
    • Skill in developing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring functions related to a cash cage operation
    • Skills in effectively communicating information through verbal and written media to employees, supervisors, customers and the general public, including writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
    • Excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills.
    • Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration, including personnel practices, general accounting, and fiscal management practices.
    • Skills in assessing operation: staffing and fiscal needs
    • Skills in identifying and resolving administrative and employee problems under pressure conditions.
    • Must be self-motivated, detail orientated and able to work successfully without a lot of supervision.
    • Must have extensive knowledge of Title 31 regulations; in conjunction with this they must be proficient  in preparing governmental reports such as: Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports
    • Required to have knowledge of OFAC Regulations in relation to transaction processing.



    Associate's degree (A.A.) from a college or university and three years related experience directly related to cashier/credit/collection operations or overall gaming operations experience with one-year supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and customer service skills. Must show the ability to work under a team management approach. Must be willing to work any shift and weekends.



    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of manager, clients, customers, and the general public.



    Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.



    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form..



    High security gaming license issued by the Tribal Gaming Agency. Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino
